The following night Kyosuke meets with Ruri and as they stand in the rain, he painfully breaks up with her by confessing his love for another girl. This brings Ruri to tears and she violently rips the notebook filled with the memories of their time together before cursing the world. The next day, Kyosuke asks Kirino out on a Christmas date to Akihabara like they did a year previously after tempting her with the chance to purchase exclusive eroge which she accepts. That night, as they exit the Tokyo Skytree, Kirino reveals her intention of going abroad once more upon her graduation and promises not to repeat her past mistakes. Kyosuke then reveals that he had finally fallen in love with a girl, which upsets Kirino and causes her to run off.
